Jitendra undertook peer-review of the seismic strengthening of the Oamaru Courthouse, a Heritage New Zealand category 1 building, undertaken by Hadley & Robinson, consulting engineers of Dunedin. Detailed design and review were undertaken during the latter part of 2017 and early 2018. Jitendra discharged the role of reviewer in an exemplary way, reaching agreement on the objectives and the manner in which the target rating was to be achieved, and demonstrated collegiality in discussions. He also showed continued interest in the project during construction, visiting the site during that period. Construction was completed in late 2018.
