While we were struggling for the reconstruction of school buildings in the remote earthquake-affected areas post- 2015 Nepal earthquake, Jitendra designed school buildings made of stone and mud for rural Nepal, and then experimentally tested them in Pakistan to verify their suitability. To improve uptake by engineers and builders, he produced numerous illustrative guidelines and videos showing step-by-step construction. He was innovative and pragmatic in his work, which has led to these designs being approved by the Government of Nepal.
